Thodupuzha is the largest municipality and commercial hub in Kerala’s Idukki district, acting as a major gateway to the high ranges. Known for its lush greenery and as a popular location for Malayalam and Tamil film shootings (earning it the nickname “Hollywood of Kerala”), it is a rapidly growing town located along the banks of the Thodupuzha River.

Located in the western part of Idukki district, it is surrounded by lush green hills, rubber plantations, and the Thodupuzha River. It is about 19 km from Muvattupuzha and 27 km from Pala.
